  • 200 gBratwurst
  • 2Red-skinned apples
  • 4 TbspBrown sugar
  • 2 TbspShaved almonds
  • 850 mlKühne Fasskraut ready-to-serve
  • 2 TbspButter
  •  Freshly ground pepper
  •  Ground nutmeg

Preparation
Rezept Bratwurstschnecke mit Apfel Fasskraut

1. Peel the onions,dice and fry in tablespoon of hot oil. Peel the potatoes, then wash, dice and add them to the onions and braise. Pour in a litre of water, sprinkle in some salt, bring to a boil and cook for about 20 minutes.

2. Fry, the bratwurst in the remaining hot oil.

3. Wash the apples and cut into quarters, remove the core and cut into wedges. Heat the sugar, add the apples and almonds and caramelise. Add deady-to-serve Kühne Sauerkraut and also heat up.

4. Drain the onions and potatoes, mash with butter (or mix with a hand mixer) and season with salt, pepper and nutmeg. Serve the apple and almond sauerkraut with the sausage and mashed potatoes with fried onions.
