Management of Carl Kühne KG

Kai Boris Bendix
Managing Director (Chairman)
Since February 1, 2023, Kai Boris Bendix has been responsible for the areas of marketing, sales, research & development, HR and legal as Chairman of the Management Board.
Thanks to his many positions at the consumer goods company Beiersdorf, he is familiar with the demands of national and international business: He managed global NIVEA marketing for Beiersdorf for several years, built up the Indian subsidiary and was responsible for the national markets in Austria, Bulgaria, and Southeast Asia. He also has many years of management experience, including in challenging times: at the Melitta Group, he managed the Cofresco business and, most recently, he led the hospitality specialist ADA Cosmetics through the pandemic.
Kühne Jalapeños are a must-have in his kitchen because he and his family love to cook Asian food – and they prefer it to be spicy.

Henning Weiser
Henning Weiser has been Managing Director for Finance & IT since January 1, 2025.
Before joining Kühne, Henning was head of Group Controlling at Deutsches Milchkontor. Here, he and his team managed the group's profitability and were responsible for the areas of consolidated financial statements and taxes. Furthermore, a major focus was on transforming the finance department into a process-based, modern business partner.
Before that, Henning spent over 15 years in various finance positions at the consumer goods company Beiersdorf. During this time, he was, among other things, Finance Director of the subsidiary NIVEA Polska in Poznan.
Henning started his professional career in investment banking and turnaround management after graduating in business administration.
As a big fan of Veggie Food, Kühne mustard can always be found in his fridge.

Carola Appel
Carola Appel has been Managing Director for the Supply Chain division since September 1, 2024.
She started out studying mechanical engineering and gained her first professional experience in industry.
She found her way into the food industry at the Müller Group. After completing a further degree in logistics management, she was able to put theory into practice there. Another professional station was at Greenyard Fresh Germany, where she dealt with fresh fruit and vegetables for the first time in her career.
She then took over as managing director of Gläserne Molkerei GmbH, leading it through a transformation and sales process.
Carola Appel loves beer gardens – at home, Kühne gherkins with Jalapeños are part of her snack platter.
